Appropriation By Faith Through The Grace Of God

You can appropriate through faith the manifestation of what you are trusting God for.

* You can be in the “fiery furnace” & not get burned (not even smell like smoke). (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had faith)

* You can go through the “red sea” & not get wet.
(Moses)

* You can be in the “lions den” & not get ate.
(Daniel)

* You can be sold out, “discarded” but God will exalt you.
(David)

* You can build an “ark” and God will show up with a flood (It had never rained).
(Noah)

* You can “feed your last meal to a (stranger) profit of God” & God will cause you to never go hungry.
(Widow Woman fed Elijah)

* You can have “no children” & believe & trust God that what he had promised he would bring to pass (and be the father of many).
(Abraham)

* You can be the “most unlikely to succeed” and go in the Power, & defense of the Almighty God.
(David)

* You can “trust God” and receive revelation knowledge.
(Daniel)

* You can “walk with God” & be transported into Heaven.
(Enoch)

* You can be “past age” and have a child.
(Sarah)

* You can be about to “die” then God will send a substitute.
(Able)

* You can be “hidden” and God’s protection will be upon your life.
(Moses)

* You can enter your “Promised Land” while trusting God & acting like it.
(
Israelites defeating the city of Jericho)

* You can have “great strength,” set apart to God from birth, & tell your secret to the wrong person & die.
(Samson)

You can appropriate through faith the manifestation of what you are trusting God for.

His Promises Are Yea & AMEN!

I CANNOT PRAY

I cannot pray "OUR," if my faith has no room
for others and their need.

I cannot pray "FATHER," if I do not demonstrate
this relationship to God in my daily living.

I cannot pray "WHO ART IN HEAVEN," if all of my
interests and pursuits are in earthly things.

I cannot pray "HALLOWED BE THY NAME," if I am
not striving for God's help to be holy.

I cannot pray "THY KINGDOM COME," if I am
unwilling to accept God's rule in my life.

I cannot pray "THY WILL BE DONE," if I am
unwilling or resentful of having it in my life.

I cannot pray "IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN,"
unless I am truly ready to give myself to God's
service here and now.

I cannot pray "GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY
BREAD," without expending honest effort for it
or if I would withhold from my neighbor the
bread I receive.

I cannot pray "FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE
FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US," if I
continue to harbor a grudge against anyone.

I cannot pray "LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION," if
I deliberately choose to remain in a situation
where I am likely to be tempted.

I cannot pray "DELIVER US FROM EVIL," if I am
not prepared to fight with my life and my
prayer.

I cannot pray "THINE IS THE KINGDOM," if I am
unwilling to obey the King.

I cannot pray "THINE IS THE POWER AND THE
GLORY," if I am seeking power for myself and my
own glory first.

I cannot pray 'FOREVER AND EVER," if I am too
anxious about each day's affairs.

I cannot pray "AMEN," unless I honestly say
"Not MY will, but THY will be done, so let it
be.

"But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as
the heathen do: for they think that they shall
be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye
therefore like unto them: for your heavenly
Father knoweth what things ye have need of
before ye ask Him. Matthew 6:7-8

HEAVEN

So this is our “Hope”, our “Faith”, in our Lord Jesus Christ. Heaven is sounding sweeter everyday!

Do you feel like you can hardly wait? Are you excited? What a glorious day it will be when my Jesus I shall see!

Heaven!!! What a wonderful word. When the word "heaven" is spoken or read, many wonderful images come to mind. Streets of gold, imposing walls, glorious homes for each of God's people, all in a city of fantastic light. No more tears, pain, sorrow or death.

But we know that heaven is much more than a place to spend eternity. It is also the place where God and Jesus Christ the Lamb live. Where we don't have to see darkly as through a smoked glass, but where we can see our Lord and Redeemer face to face. He promises that forever, "They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God." (Rev. 21:3) What a fabulous promise!

In Matt. 6:33 Jesus says, "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Jacob dreams of a ladder to heaven

Gen. 28:11 When [Jacob] reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. There above it stood the LORD, and he said: "I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it." He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven."

Who may dwell with God?

Ps. 15:1~~~

LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?

He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his oath even when it hurts, who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.

He who does these things will never be shaken.

Isa. 35:1~~~~

The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God. Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you."

Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.

Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy.

Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs.

In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.

And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness.

The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that

Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.

No lion will be there, nor will any ferocious beast get up on it; they will not be found there.

But only the redeemed will walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD will return.

They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Isa. 66:1 This is what the LORD says: "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.

"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face.

And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

Great Faith in Action

Diana Houk
© October 10, 2008

Jesus Faith was in God the Father, as Jesus went about doing the will of the Father God in Healing, Deliverance, & teaching Only one way to the Father God is in & through him. (The greatest act of Faith (AND LOVE) was when Jesus died on the cross believing (knowing) he would rise from the dead on the third day.)

Abraham introduced himself as:

“The Father of many while at that time (17 YEARS) he had NO CHILDREN”
(Abraham believed & trusted God that what he had promised he would bring to pass.)

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had faith:

“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it”. (Their Faith in God was so that if they died in the fire, they would die serving God & not bowing down to any other God.) And when they came out of the fire (alive) they didn’t even smell like smoke!

Noah was 480 years old when God told him to build an Ark and 600 (120 years trusting God) when the Flood came, Noah had never seen rain so he trusted God for something he didn’t even know existed! (Most Christians don’t have the patience or “Faith” to wait 120 years for the manifestation of what they are believing for).

David & Goliath:

David said, The Lord Who delivered me out of the paw of the lion and out of the paw of the bear; He will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. (David was the most unlikely to succeed being the youngest & the smallest, but he was going in the Power & Defense of the Almighty God)

Moses:

And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided." (Over 3 million wanted to turn back to bandage when they saw the red sea) (Moses still trusted God (Faith. Then while receiving the 10 commandments Moses still trusted God by Faith.)

Daniel:

Prayer was what Daniel knew. Daniel had a made up mind and an extraordinary spirit of excellence. Daniel was a prayer warrior & he would kneel (on his knees) to pray 3 times a day & prayed & give thanks to his God. Daniel had the favor of God on his life. Daniel had a relationship with God.

Hebrews 11

By Faith We Understand

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.

By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.

The Heavenly Hope

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland (Heaven). And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” Concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.

By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.

By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.

By faith Joseph, when he was dying, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command.

By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible. By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

By faith the people crossed the Red Sea as [though] on dry land, but when the Egyptians tried to do the same thing they were swallowed (drowned) up by the sea.

By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.

In the Old Testament, in
Joshua chapter 6, we have an account of the Israelites defeating the city of Jericho when they came into the Promised Land after wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. According to the biblical account, after the Israelites marched around the city once a day for six days, on the seventh day they encircled the city seven times. On the seventh time around, the priests blew the trumpets, the people shouted and the walls fell flat. The story in the Bible goes on to say that when the walls collapsed, the Israelites stormed the city and set it on fire. Archaeologists found evidence for a massive destruction by fire just as the Bible relates.

By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.

And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned; they were sawn in two, were tempted, and were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented—of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.

And all these, though they won divine approval by [means of] their faith, did not receive the fulfillment of what was promised, having obtained a good testimony through faith. Because God had us in mind and had something better and greater in view for us, so that they [these heroes and heroines of faith] should not come to perfection apart from us [before we could join them].

I AM YOUR BRIDE

Diana Houk
September 26, 2008

Passion fills my heart for you my precious love,

when you died for me upon the cross, a gift from God above.

Oh the agony you suffered to set my soul free,

from sin & sickness, and judgment, when you died upon that tree.

A sudden burst of glory when you came up from the grave,

you paid the ransom for my soul with your blood, defeating sickness & the grave.

So as I die each day to my flesh (soul) I will keep myself as your bride.

For you are the one I long for, for you are my guide.

The spirit of God I’ll always embrace, as you prepare me to Run the race.

I long for that day when “LOVE” has finished this race & I’ll spend “eternity” with you as we embrace.

Until that day I will trust you in all my ways.

For this is new day I share it with few, but you are here with me a fresh and a new.

You hold my life in your hands so I know I’m complete in your love.

For you are the potter & I am the clay, so today I say I am yours to keep~~~use me as a vessel that many will see &know you are the “Love”, I am just the clay.

So as you fill my life with your presence today I give myself to you as a “Present” to embrace.

I have finished the race set before me & now I will ever be with the one I Love for eternity.

Blood Relationship “Dominion Living Inheritance”

Here is a devotional from Diana Houk. The theme is humanity lost its “Dominion Living Inheritance” when Adam sold the mandate of God to the devil as a lease making everything God gave to charge to Adam under the devil’s authority. It is the Blood of Christ that begins the restoration of dominion living with the full Redemption being fulfilled at Christ’s return.

Blood Relationship “Dominion Living Inheritance”
Diana Houk
September 20, 2008

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being [or soul].

And we know that when Adam and Eve sinned against God, by disobeying Him, they lost their status of eternal life, for up to that time there was no death.

In essence, Adam and Eve sold their souls and their inheritance, the earth and their eternal life, to the devil, which is evident by the fact that death became present. Genesis 3:21.

Leviticus 17:11.

'For the life [or soul] of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life [or soul] that makes atonement.'

Hebrews 9:11-22.

But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation;

And not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

And for this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant [which is love, without additional death], in order that since a death has taken place [Jesus' death, the last death necessary] for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Those who are called are those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and have received God's forgiveness through the power of His shed blood.

And this is exactly what Jesus said at the Last Supper when He picked up the cup (Mark 14:24), "This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many."

For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it.

For a covenant is valid only when men are dead for it is never in force while the one who made it lives.

This is Jesus' last will and testament.

It's our inheritance, too, and like any inheritance, it doesn't pass to the receiver until the death of the one who made the will, or covenant.

Our inheritance of forgiveness and eternal life is brought about through the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood.

For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

Saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded you."

And in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry with the blood.

And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

But now the last blood has been shed.

There is no longer a need to shed any other blood; it has all been done.

Now we can walk in our inheritance that was purchased through the blood of Jesus!

This blood that was shed wasn’t just for “Redemption” as some may think, but for everything! Death, Sin, Sickness, divine health everything that concerns you!

When Jesus looked up to “Heaven” (to the Father God) & said “It is FINISHED” IT WAS! Now we have to understand the fullness of the bloodshed & walk in the “inheritance that belongs to us.

“Dominion Living” is the place God set in motion for us from the beginning.

So Live (walk) in “DOMINION LIVING”

Problems Will Come, But We Are Overcomers

Diana Houk

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
(Romans 8:14,15)

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. (Psalm 8:2)

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD. (Psalm 34:11)

And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. (Isaiah 54:13)

For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
(Psalm 1:6)
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. --Mark 9:23

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
(Psalm 27:14)

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
